Morgan was one of the actors in the informational film Safe Sex for Men and Women focused on AIDS prevention and awareness. The profits from this film was donated towards the American Foundation for AIDS Research. Morgan is also a member of the Entertainment Industry AIDS Task Force. Morgan was the primary driver in many fundraising campaigns to fight the disease. Morgan also gave a speech to a Congressional special committee that focused on AIDS education. Morgan is on the Board of Governors of APLA and Amfar. C. Everett Koop, the former surgeon-general of Canada has contacted her to take over his duties for a number of AIDS related events. She also hosted the AIDS Awareness Special together with Steve Bell. Ted Koppell has interviewed her two times about AIDS during Nightline. Morgan has been nominated for an Emmy for her special Murphy Brown episode written by Diane English for her. Morgan was co-starring in the ABC television series Your Money or Your Wife alongside Joan Rivers. Summer began in the form of Murder At The PTA Luncheon that was created by Von Zeerneck and Sertner. Marla Gibbs and Cindy Williams were also on the show. The next film she was in took Morgan to Luxembourg to be a part of Harmony Gold's production Sherlock Holmes and the Leading Lady with Christopher Lee and Patrick McNee. Morgan also appeared in the psycho thriller made by USA Network. The film was a huge success and received the most impressive ratings to date.
